Why We Have the ‘Learn’ Challenge

Everything starts with awareness. The ‘Learn’ challenge is designed to help you:

• Understand the issue at hand

• Absorb facts and context

• Build empathy for people and the planet

• Prepare for the next steps in the loop: Answer, Do, and Suggest

You can’t act meaningfully without first learning why it matters.

How to Complete the ‘Learn’ Challenge

We’ll walk you through it using the “Learn About Overpopulation” challenge.

Step 1: Select the Challenge

From Daily Challenges, tap the Learn challenge card.

Example: Learn About Overpopulation
“Read a 10-minute article on overpopulation challenges ahead of World Population Day.”

Step 2: Read the Description

You’ll see the challenge details, including:

• Topic (e.g. overpopulation)

• Estimated time (10 mins)

• Type: Learn

• Points you’ll earn (30 points)

Step 3: Read the Article

The article is broken into sections. Scroll through and tap Next after each one.
This is where you build the knowledge you’ll apply in the following ‘Answer’ quiz or action.

Example:
What is Overpopulation?
“Overpopulation happens when the number of people exceeds the capacity of the environment to support them…”

Step 4: Complete the Challenge

Once you finish reading all sections, you’ll see the completion screen.

• You’ve completed the Learn challenge

• You earn 30 points

• You're now ready for the ‘Answer’ challenge!
